Called to Testify

Our mission today is the same mission given to the disciples and apostles of the Bible.  We have been given all the same gifts, we have the same truths they had.  We are to share just like they did.  If we believe the Bible to be true, then we have to believe the verses that tell us to share the gospel!  Our mission is to point people to Jesus.  He IS the ONLY hope the world has for salvation.  It isn't a secret we are to keep to ourselves.  Many people today claim to know Jesus and are headed straight to hell.
3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:   1 Corinthians 15:3-4
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Romans 10: 9-13
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  John 3:16
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.  Acts 16:31
In John 6:35, Jesus says He is the bread of life and that anyone that comes to him will never be hungry again and anyone that believes on Him will never thirst again.  These are the messages we are to deliver to the world.
I read a comment that said, "all we are is one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread".  Jesus is the bread of life.
Just like the blind man in John Chapter 9, all I know is "once I was blind but now I see".  That is the story we are to share with the world.  We are to bear witness to the world.  Sharing what Jesus has done for us.
A witness in a trial is called upon to tell what they have seen and what they know to be true.  God is calling His people to tell what they know and what they know to be true!  Do you know anything about Jesus?  Has God done anything for you through Jesus?  If you can answer yes, that is what you are to tell the world.
Do you know God loves you?
Tell the world.
Do you know you are saved?
Tell the world.
Do you KNOW who to tell?
Tell the world.
We have examples all through the Bible - Peter at Pentecost, Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunich, Paul to King Agrippa and the list goes on.  All these great witnesses just told what they knew!!
The witness in court has to testify to the judge and jury.
The witness for Jesus is to testify to the world.
But, Jesus breaks it down for us, start close, move out.
Anywhere sinners are found there is a need for the gospel.
Our mission field is anywhere lost people can be found and they can be found everywhere.
We start with family and friends, co-workers and strangers.  Anyone we meet, anywhere we go.  We are always to be "on mission" for Jesus Christ.  Telling a lost and dying world that Jesus saves.  Everyone we meet is either a believer or in need of the gospel.  Let's tell them about our Savior.
What is really sad is most of us won't talk to anyone outside our comfort zone.  We will visit friends and relatives but not go to someone who is lost.  We will talk about the news, the latest ball scores, anything but Jesus even sometimes to those closest to us.
If we really believe hell is real, if we really believe people are lost and going to hell without Jesus, if we really believe the gospel is for all men, then why aren't we doing more to get the gospel to them???  Why aren't we out there telling a lost and dying world Jesus saves?
Could it be we don't believe everything we claim to believe?  Could it be we are "saved and satisfied? Could it be we have forgotten just what Jesus has done for us?  We act like we hae to do this alone but we don't.  We have the Power of God on our side.  If we are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, prayed up and cleaned up before God, united in love, heart and purpose then we HAVE the Power of God on our witness, our works and our words.  But we have to get our lives in the kind of shape God can bless and use - Amen.  We are going to have to get like the early church in Acts 2:42-47, 42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
When we do, we will see the Lord pour out His power on our witness to the world.  Until we do, we will spin our wheels and accomplish nothing for His glory.
We desperately need God's power on our lives and our church today.  We will never enjoy His unction and power until our hearts are right with one another and with Him.
If you have a problem with a brother or sister in Christ and you have not dealt with it biblically, THAT is a hindrance to the power of God being manifested in your life.  If you have some secret sin buried in your life, THAT is a hindrance to the Power of God in your life.  We need to stop looking at others and deal with out own hearts.  When we do and when we get where He would have us to be we can and will enjoy His power on our witness.
I want to ask you - How important is being a witness to you?
What are you willing to change in yoru life so you can be a more effective witness?
What price are you willing to pay for the touch of God on your life?
How long has it been since you told anyone about Jesus?
Remember one day we will give an account of our witness to Jesus (Romans 14:12).  The hour is late, the tie to tell the world is now.
Church we have been distracted by the world and the devil from the mission we have been given.  We all share this responsibility, not just preachers and teachers.  Now is the time to recapture our mission.  Now is when we have to get back to it, nothing has changed.
It's time to deal with our own personal issues and it's time to deal with our own sins so that the Power of God might rest on us.  It's time we obey His voice.  We have enjoyed the blessings, let's share them with others.  Time is so short, the day of His return IS at hand.
God bless,
til next time

Get a Grip!

That was my lesson from God this morning. As I told my daughter, every blog I write is a lesson God has given me that day. It's personal for me but I enjoy sharing it.
This is what He told me this morning:
You can't hold on to God with one hand and the world with the other - you will lose your grip on one of them! Matthew 6:24No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
God intends for us to live this life, that is why He gave it to us, however, nothing in it should be more important to us than the One who gave us life. He wants more than anything to give us everything we desire, but our desires should match His. He wants the very best for us, we should want the very best for ourselves. That doesn't mean new cars, new homes, fancy clothes or jewelry, although He can and does give us those things.
I often compare God and myself to me and my own children and grandchildren. I want to see them happy and give them everything they desire to make them happy but as a parent I know that not everything they desire is what's best for them and I know what they need. They need love, nurturing, food for their tummies, warmth, education, etc. I know "things" make them happy and want to give them everything. However, I also know "things" only give them momentary satisfaction, then generally they want newer, shinier (more expensive) things. Momentary satisfaction doesn't last while meeting their deepest needs does.
That is what God does for us, He provides our every need for growth and will give us those little "things" we want along the way. He loves us so much more even than we love our own children. In His wisdom, He knows the things that will truly make a lasting impression on us. He knows what is best for us.
Just like our own children, we may forget that new "toy" in a month or so but we will never forget how God provided for us in our time of need.
At the moment, we truly want that new car, new house, new shoes etc., but a few months down the road it's not good enough and we want something else to play with-something newer, shinier, (more expensive). You get my drift, right? Just like our own children! Now think about it --(here comes a God thump), where do they learn it??? Ouch.. pointing fingers back at self, :(
God wants the very thing from us that we want from our own children, love, respect and to see us happy and healthy.
He wants us to turn to Him for our every care because He truly cares for us.
Matthew 6:25-34 25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

He wants to see us happy. He loves to see our smiles and our joy even more than we enjoy seeing the faces of our own children. Just like our own children, their new toys take time away from us unless we teach them to put them in the proper perspective. Our new toys can take our time away from our precious Heavenly Father if we don't put our priorities in perspective.

Enjoy this life God has given you, enjoy the toys He gives you but remember those aren't what's important in life, it's the One who gave you life, the One who sustains it that is most important. Be in this world, not of this world: 1 John 2:15, 15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Don't try to hold on to God with one hand and the world with the other, GET A GRIP on God with both hands. Let go of the things of this world, whether it be possessions, music, people, addictions or just day to day busyness, let it go. God will provide the needs and the desires of your heart if you seek each day to be in the center of His will. 1 John 5:14, And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

What a promise! Just let go and let God. Are you having problems today? (who isn't). It might be in a relationship, at work, with your finances, whatever it is, those are wordly things, God wants you to turn lose with that hand and get a grip on Him with both hands. He will take care of you, He will take care of any situation. He can do so much more than we ever can. Don't let your worries cause you to lose your grip on God, allow God to loosen your grip on your worries (this world). Give God your other hand.

God bless

What Does A Man Gain

I recently read an article of a "young" man, (barely 90), who had passed away. I was impressed with what I was reading and though I didn't know him I was caught up reading about all the wonderful things he had done in his lifetime for his community and other people. He was moderately famous and had helped many people in his lifetime, had won prestigious awards for energy conservation, was an inventor and a highly intelligent man. He was concerned with not only himself and his family but America and our planet as well. He had been credited with several life saving inventions as well as energy conservation plans and inventions of all sorts, as I said he was highly intelligent and not just book smart. The article talked about what a loving person he was to his family and towards all mankind and animals as well. While he could have used his intellect to better himself and probably have been a multimillionaire, he was more concerned with helping our country and the earth. He used the knowledge "God" gave him for the good of all, not just himself.
I love to read about people like this and wish I had the intelligence and money to help people. But am content to do what the Lord gives me to do and what I can.
However, as I was reading this article it went on to say he was a devoted family man and devoted and proud American, somewhat liberal, scholar, intellectual, etc. etc. and an atheist. When I read the last word my heart literally sank. My first thought was, how can a man save the world and yet lose his own soul. Mark 8:36-38, 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
The Bible tells us we cannot be saved by works alone. Titus 3:5-9, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
My second thought was dear Lord, please let him have had a believing praying wife so that he at least had a chance at coming to know the Lord before he left this world. 1 Corinthians 7:13-14, 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
How sad if this man did so much good and yet missed Heaven because he not accept Jesus Christ. There may be a lot of things published and we might be famous for a time but once we are gone and the people that knew us well are gone there is not much recognition and then what have we gained if we spend eternity in hell. So what if he gained the world for a short time, he lost his soul for eternity. It didn't mention much about his wife but I pray she was a christian and beseeched the Lord on his behalf. If not, the sorrow of losing her life's partner would also be compounded by the knowledge that he was lost, what an awful pain to feel. My heart breaks for this man and his wife if he left this world lost.
I pray that this was the case, that his wife sought the Lord daily on his behalf and that when he stepped out of this life he stepped into the arms of our loving, forgiving, merciful Lord, who can call us out in the twinkling of an eye but who also can and will forgive us even in our ignorance and unbelief when we come to that instant in our lives that we confess Him as our Lord and Savior and ask Him into our lives. Even on our death bed.
I pray no one reading this has to worry where they or their loved ones will spend eternity but if you are, I lift up my prayers in agreement with you for your loved ones. I hope you will do the same for me. I pray for all the lost and lost loved ones and pray that God richly blesses those and gives those contentment who stand strong in their faith and their belief that through their prayers God will save their loved ones.
What does a man gain?
God bless

Four Boyfriends

I'm cheating :) My daughter sent me this email and although I don't know it's original author (or I would credit them), I thought it was worth passing on. If you read this and know who the original author is please take a moment to leave me a comment so I can give them credit. This is very thought provoking.

THIS TURNED OUT TO BE SO DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE.. IT IS A WONDERFUL WONDERFUL MESSAGE!!
ENJOY

Once upon a time there was a girl who had four boyfriends.

She loved the fourth boyfriend the most and adorned him with rich robes and treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave him nothing but the best.

She also loved the third boyfriend very much and was always showing him off to neighboring kingdoms. However, she feared that one day he would leave her for another.

She also loved her second boyfriend. He was her confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with her. Whenever this girl faced a problem, she could confide in him, and he would help her get through the difficult times.

The girl' s first boyfriend was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did not love the first boyfriend Although he loved her deeply, she hardly took notice of him!

One day, the girl fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought of her luxurious life and wondered, 'I now have four boyfriends with me, but when I die, will I be a alone.'

Thus, she asked the fourth boyfriend, 'I loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?
'No way!', replied the fourth boyfriend, and he walked away without another word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart.

The sad girl then asked the third boyfriend, 'I loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?' 'No!', replied the third boyfriend. 'Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to marry someone else!' Her heart sank and turned cold

She then asked the second boyfriend, 'I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?'

'I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!', replied the second boyfriend. 'At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave.'
His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the girl was devastated.

Then a voice called out: 'I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go.' The girl looked up, and there was her first boyfriend. He was very skinny as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect.

Greatly grieved, the girl said, 'I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!'

In truth, you have four boyfriends in your lives:

Your fourth boyfriend is your body. ! No matter how much time and effort you lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die.

Your third boyfriend is your possessions, status and
wealth. When you die, it will all go to others.

Your second boyfriend is your family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the grave.

And your first boyfriend is your soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your soul is the only thing that will follow you
where ever you go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of you that will follow you to the throne of God and continue with you throughout Eternity. In essence, it's the REAL you......

Thought for the day: Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray.
Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections.
God bless, hope everyone has a safe holiday week-end.

Judge not

I actually began this post on Feb. 17 but left it in draft because I wasn't sure where God was taking me with this. Today I read a friend's blog (for the 2nd time), about being judged unfairly by others, and decided to finish this. We can do so much harm to others by our words, I pray this is a timely message.

The Bible says in Luke 6:37-38 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The dictionary defines judge (informal) as: To form an opinion or estimation of after careful consideration; To act as one appointed to decide; To act or decide as a judge.

The Bible says in Romans 14:12-13 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Does this put judging others in another category for you? It did for me. This means to me that my "opinion" is equivalent to passing judgment!! And if my "opinion" (judgment) should be a stumbling block for others, "I" have sinned!

Going back to the dictionary description, it says to form an opinion or estimation of "after careful consideration", ever thought about "first impressions", ever make a first impression of someone only to find out later how wrong you were? That's judgment and its not even "after" careful consideration, its immediate!

Again, Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at naught thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. As Christians sometimes we feel it is our right or our duty to point out flaws in others. Now the Bible does tell us if we know someone is committing sin to rebuke that person, (Luke 17:3), however, that isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about passing judgment and to go a step farther, even gossip because we are all guilty of it even in the smallest form. How many times have you heard someone say, "just look at him, or just look at her, blah blah blah"? Or, did you see/hear about so and so yesterday?

My main point is that we all judge in some way or another but God is the final judge, He is the one that "all" will answer too. Sometimes it only takes a second to step back, take a deep breath and keep our opinions (judgments) to ourselves. If we slip, which we sometimes do, God is willing to forgive us if we ask. Sometimes it's the smallest of things that hinder our walk with God. "Judge not, lest ye be judged."

If you happen to be sitting in the "judgment seat" of others, remember that although words can hurt, Jesus CAN heal. The only one we can change is ourselves. If you can't get that person to quit judging you or trying to change your mind, then ask God to give you strength and help you during those times to remember what a precious soul you are to Him. Then ask yourself, does it really matter? Just because they say it, doesn't make it true.
Remember that "earthly" judging is just another tool of satan to try and weaken your will and your walk. Remember Matthew 5:10-12, 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. but it also tells us in Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

May God give you strength for these battles, remember we are engaged in a battle everyday for our walk with the Lord, but we WILL be triumphant :)

I'll leave you with this: Matthew 5: 14-16, 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Until next time God bless

Christians rejoice

As we watch the events of the world around us, not only here but all over the world, should we be worrying or cursing? Or, should we be praising?

As Christians, we should be praising, certainly not cursing, (of course), but we should also not be worrying. At least not about the events going on. What should we be worrying about then, you might ask. We should not be worrying about the state of the economy, we should be worrying about the state of our souls. The conditions of our walk with God and certainly praying for those that don't know Him. Mark 13:29-33 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. 30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
We should be rejoicing because, as Christians, we should have already read The Book and we should already know the "end" of the story. What we are watching going on around us is one more chapter towards the end of the story. What this proclaims to us is the time when Jesus "splits the Eastern sky" is coming and truly coming soon. We already know everything happens in God's time. We know not the day or the hour but we know it will be soon. Mark 13:34-37 34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

I say until you all, watch! Read your bible and watch some more. Our God, being the loving just God that He is has given us plenty of warning and plenty of time to get our houses in order. His word says that no one will be without knowledge. Every man, woman and child will have the opportunity to hear about God's amazing salvation. His will for us is not to follow the many, but to follow Him. He has warned us in the Bible not to be swayed. Matthew 24: 4-14 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

When we worry about them taking prayer out of schools and out of public events, we should cast that worry away. They can't take the prayer from your heart. The day may come when you won't be able to speak the Lord's name aloud. If you read the scriptures above and think about the world today, you can see already the scriptures that have come to pass. Many people are hated, people already betray each other. People are "offended" by our beliefs and our love of the Lord. In many countries people (missionaries) are being killed for being believers. We think about this being in far away places but the Bible says "iniquity shall abound". We in the U.S. are indeed a spoiled people. We haven't seen what other countries have but we are seeing. We have fought a long hard battle to get the gospel out to all Nations and now that very gospel is being taken from us here in the United States.

We need to read our Bibles and memorize God's word because we may live to see the time when not only are Bibles and God's word not allowed in public but we may not be allowed to have a bible in our own homes. If you think this can't happen, look at some of the laws we already have taking away our rights as citizens today.

However, as the title says, Christians rejoice, with all the scriptures we see coming to pass that means Heaven is one step closer.

Seasons Come and Seasons Go

Many people my age (let's just say older than dirt lol) will remember a time when the changing of seasons was predictable and easy to distinguish without looking at a calendar or being told. The beginning of fall, the leaves would start changing colors, the green of the grass would start gradually fading into brown, the weeds would finally start dying and most usually (here in Oklahoma anyway) it would get dry. As fall progressed the temperatures would drop and the weather would start getting colder. Next, winter would start setting in, predictions of snow flurries, snow storms, sleet and ice would be given and sometimes it happened, sometimes not, but it still stayed cold, you could still tell it was winter. Then winter would start easing out, the temperatures would increase a little, the wind usually would pick up some. Old timers had a couple of sayings that you don't hear much anymore: 1) If March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb (meaning if the winds were high and blew a lot at the beginning of March, it would calm down and be pretty at the end of March and into April, and 2) April showers bring May flowers. You could count on the weather doing what it was supposed to do when it was supposed to do it with few exceptions. Who of us oldsters don't remember the "dog days of summer"? When summer came in the temperatures were tolerable until mid-late July usually through early August when they would climb up into the 90's rarely above 100. Then as August began going out and September, Labor Day rolled in the temperatures would start getting tolerable again. Warm days and cool nights but still not to cool.
In this day and time, it's hard to know when seasons come and when they go. As they say, the times they are a changing. It can be 23 degrees one day in November and 80 the next. It can stay warm enough for a week or two so that the buds on the trees are fooled into popping out and then without warning freeze and kill them. It's getting to the point that you can't tell what season it is and neither can the flowers, trees and grass!

Many people are watching what's going on in the world today and those that know even a little about the Bible believe they see the signs of the end drawing near and they would be correct. However, its not just now coming about. It's been coming for a while. God made sure the prophets wrote about it in the Bible and laced it with plenty of warnings so people would have plenty of time. The way the seasons run together is just one of those signs.
Everywhere you look and everything you see and read right now says, "change is coming", heralding the appointing of the new President. Those of us that have read "the Book" know that change has already been coming. Seasons are changing, things are changing. This world as we know it is changing but the change is towards the 2nd heralding, the 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-17 :
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. 9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. 12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. 13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. 14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past. 16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

So for those who think change is coming, look again, change has been coming. This time Jesus is coming back to stay.

Seasons come and seasons go and things do change, but the Word of God never changes. Be ready.
